LDC: a history
LDC was founded in 1968 from the merger between SA LAMBERT in Sablé sur Sarthe (Sarthe) and SA DODARD CHANCEREUL in Saint Denis d'Anjou (Mayenne); the merger brought together two companies in complimentary geographical sectors operating identical businesses. The resulting new company then employed 90 people. LDC's original activity was poultry slaughtering. The company's business has developed dramatically to incorporate cutting and the manufacture of processed products. From 1984, the LDC Group diversified geographically by taking over companies operating in the main poultry farming regions of France.
